I haven’t ever had a summer romance, but I have always loved summer lightning storms even when they caused blackouts.
(Especially when they caused momentary blackouts where we got to use candles around the house because there weren’t enough flashlights.)
It’s actually storming really hard right now.

What a great poem!! I love blackouts as well when we can settile calmly with candles, if there are kids in the house, we get out the board games…and then the noise of bright lights and noisy refrigerators humming scream out loudly.

so true and by the way, I had no clue my prompt was going to be about summer love…I started rambling about kids calling and talking about summer and it turned into a prompt:)

Some of the best stuff starts out as little more than rambling. (*grins*)
