One Moment

One swallow does not make a summer. -Aristotle (384 BC – 322 BC)

Anger is only in the moment.
Let yourself calm down.
Don’t nourish and grow those grudges,
Because in the end they will only be a drain.
One moment does not a life-time make,
And one life-time is not only that moment.

One bird is not an aviary,
One bee not an apiary.
One horse is not a ranch,
One tree is more than a branch.

So remember this
When next you miss
That moment to calm down.
For you are more than your emotions.
You are what you allow yourself to feel.

This time, I got the word count part of the challenge.

Sometimes, you just need to leave the room and calm down because you won’t react in a way you’ll like if you’re all emotion.

    • I had to try the word count thing twice to get it. My earlier post today was my first attempt and I missed the word count by over 100 words! When I do that, I just post again with a new attempt to stay within the word count, but still get everything down that my muse says to put.
