The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. –Aristotle
(This image is one that my sister drew based off a picture of two of our other sisters.)
This post is inspired by two prompts: Eclectic Corner #3 – Resolutions and the revisit of Dungeon Prompt: Mortality and the Human Psyche. Make sure to check out the prompts as well as Sreejit’s revisit of his Dungeon Prompt, Defined by the Darkness, it’s really good for making you think!
A wonderful poem and a great way to look at resolutions. 🙂

Oh wow this is so lovely and touching. I love the fact you have a pic your sister drew in there and you kept it which is fab! Most things like that of mine have gotten lost. The poem is lovely and reminds me about pacing too and healing, really love it, the kind of healing poem to have up on a wall somewhere. Well they say the best things come to those that wait and i waited and look what i got…hehe, thank you for joining Eclectic Corner martha xxx

Aw, thank you. (*blushes*) I always enjoy a challenge and it took me a bit to get this up. I like to keep old pictures that my sister’s drawn. I can’t show her the original though because she always tries to get rid of them. She doesn’t like her old art because it’s not as good (in her eyes) as her newer art.

Cool resolution. Mortality is something that we easily forget and can always keep everything in perspective. Writing my poem for the prompt actually – surprisingly – took a lot out of me and I haven’t even been able to think about writing since then. Hope you have a great new year!

Writing often does that because when you write you’re putting a piece of your soul on the paper (or the screen).
