As the days go by I found myself
Thinking often of the time we shared.
There was no other that I would have
As the first to hold my heart.
Can’t go back to that time but
How I cherish the memories left behind.
My thoughts turn when I see
Even one thing left with me.
Not that they are tinged with sorrow, but
Tinged with light.
You are so good with this form…lovely poem, my dear and I adore the Piano guys!!! Perfect song…one of my mom’s favourite…made me weepy a bit but happy tears:)
Thank you! When I first started using it on my blog, it was the only format I could fully remember how to write. (*laughs at self*) So I practiced and practiced and practiced.
It reads like a song Martha. 😀 Beautifully done.
