Sleepy Time Adventures – One-Liner Wednesday

I know people talk in their sleep (my third eldest sister and her college roommate had long conversations into the night. I know, I was there on some weekends to visit. There was no sleep those nights), but my dog growls in is sleep sometimes.

He’s doing it right now as he sleeps under the piano. Every now and then he’s just snoring, but sometimes he’s growling at whatever he’s dreaming about.

Making the Same Moves

Insanity called hope.

Moving forward
Ever onwards
Fearful heart
Eyes wide

Step by step
Endlessly in front
Skips a beat
Tears glisten within

Not going to stop
Do not turn back
Blood pulses through wounds
Tracks laid down cheeks

Have a place called home
Will reach it some day
Each drop shed not important
Long as it leads the way

No Treats For You! – One-Liner Wednesday

I just wanted to finish one half of my twin popsicle by myself instead of having to defend it from three kittens, one surprisingly agile granny cat, and one large dog.

Seriously, I just wanted a chance to eat my treat in peace, but there is no such thing in this house.

I Prefer to Laugh

Lost in my pain I will not be
Anchoring though it is to me
Serving its purpose always
Taken as another path waves

The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache. –Marjorie Pay Hinkley

The last thing I want to do is give myself a dehydration headache from crying. Laughing also has the benefit of giving my lungs extra exercise, which they surely need to grow stronger.

Close Enough to See

Not going to say it was easy
Initially was pretty rough
Can’t seem to speak clearly
Knowing it could disappear in a puff
Not going to give up so easy
Actually going to cling
My friends still like to tease me
Even as together we fly on wing

This was what came to mind while I was readingĀ  a book about a group of friends.
