Mercy in Forgiveness – Twelfth Day

Today is a day never to be forgotten

Where love in the physical flesh was begotten

Emotions are high with joy and peace

Letting us know His love is as warm as fleece

Forgiveness given to all who will seek

To follow His way and keep themselves meek

How then shall we be forgiven too, if forgiveness to others isn’t something we do?

Dare to bestow mercy on all before you

And keep in mind

Yes, this is something to give too

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

Mercy in Forgiveness as He gave to us

Silent Night, Simple Night – Eleventh Day (Thankful Thursday)

Evening comes and out comes the stars

Lights that appear to twinkle, the dark sky mars

Eternity in the making up above our eyes

Vanishing in an instant deep into the skies

Even as an arm wraps around shoulders

No one could move us, not even with boulders

To sit and watch the stars with you…

How glorious this night will turn into

Dates are important no matter the age

And staying close to your eternal companion…

Yesterday, today and always

On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

A Silent Night, Simple Night to enjoy the stars

Quiet Moments – Tenth Day

There comes a time when what you need is more time

Especially when nothing has a reason or rhyme

Nothing makes sense so often in this world

To have someone stand by you in the whirl

How precious it is to me to have another steadying influence

Daylight burns fast and time just as quickly

Although finding hidden time with another…

Yesterdays can seem to go on forever

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

Quiet Moments in the lost time of a busy day

Take A Break – Ninth Day

Now often I find myself simply overworked

Intending to rest, though it never quite works

Needed is someone who can just set me down

Taking my work away with a frown

Helping me to remember I need to wind down

Doing your best is all well and good

At the expense of your health…

You obviously need someone to look after you

On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

The loving reminder to Take a Break

Forgiveness Undeserved – Eighth Day

Eternity to think about all you’ve done

Innocents crying out with tears you’ve rung

Given away was your heart indeed

How only later those actions you’ve grieved

Till someone came, someone who’d been wronged

Handing you forgiveness while from the throng you’ve run

Day to day actions can cause others pain

And having someone who can forgive you

Yet love you still the same

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

Forgiveness Undeserved

A Day of Rest – Seventh Day

So often we get all caught up

Events placed before us that we just want to top

Vexing though it may be

Even stars need a chance to rest and sleep

Now don’t think that it’s any less there

To stop and listen to what is said here

How often it’s needed to have someone who for you is there

Drink and food are just as required

As a good night’s sleep in bed

Yesterday will melt right off, once you lay down your head

On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

A Day of Rest

Laughter – Sixth Day

Silent though she sat

Innocent eyes, just like a cat

X-ing over towards one most loved, Ignoring the snow held in her hands gloved

The laughter that rang out when he danced all about

How gladly she smiled and he knew it would right out

Doing something silly

Allowing to be made the fool

Yet knowing it was only to make them smile

On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

Laughter

Someone Out There For Me – Fifth Day

Finding another who will walk with me

Into whatever life may bring

For years I worried I’d walk alone

To find my path with another

How it’s left me undone!

Do I ever remember the short time I was engaged with anger?

A moment of perfection it was, though it has now gone by

Yesterday is full of what I must remember as tomorrow comes by

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

Belief that there’s Someone Out There For Me

Moment as the World – Fourth Day (Thankful Thursday)

For another thing that is oft o’erlooked

Our gratitude to another who was previously booked

Until they saw our harrowing plight

Reached out for a moment while still in sight

Took the time to steady us on our feet

Helping in that moment that we happened to meet

Don’t forget to pause in your tracks

And see another who might emotionally be on the racks

Yearning for someone who won’t turn their back

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

A Moment where I was the World

Manage Instead of Plan – Third Day

There is more to life than plans

How can your plans help when faced with disaster?

I find that being able to manage is much more useful

Reality rarely lets you take time to plan complexities

Dare to be flexible and find another who can as well

Don’t forget that plans will only take you so far

And don’t forget that fighting against disaster alone

Yields exhaustion with no relief

On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

Someone to help me Manage my life rather than Plan
