Stitched From the Heart – Thankful Thursday

Quietly waiting to wrap around

Until the night sends its darkest hound.

In which comfort is drawn

Like love sent from beyond.

There is nothing more beautiful than a mother’s love.

This week I am grateful for the lovely quilt that my mother made me when I was a teenager.

Check out the original Thankful Thursday. (I will update the link when able.)

Warm Through the Night – Thankful Thursday

Today I’m grateful for all the quilts my mom has made over the course of her life. She’s made one for each of her children. She’s made some for her dad and now she’s making them for her grandchildren.

Quickly is the opposite of the time to make
Unless you can teach your children to help along.
It isn’t so much the labor as it is the
Labor of love
That keeps me warm during the nights.

I am extra grateful for this quilt as it keeps me warm with the winter coming and the nights freezing!

Check out the original Thankful Thursday as well.

Been Looking Forward – Thankful Thursday

It’s that time again this week, the time where I post pictures of things I’m grateful for! I hope that they are as enjoyable for you as they have been for me.

This Thursday has been a good day for me emotionally but kind of dizzying physically. (Just one of those days where my vertigo is worse than usual.) But even with that, I’m happy today, happier partly because I just am and partly because I’ve been looking forward to this posting challenge for the past few days.

If you haven’t read the original Thankful Thursday post (http://mithriluna.wordpress.com/2014/05/15/thankful-thursday-a-mothers-day-story/) head on over and check it out! It certainly brightened my day! (grins)
