Utah Weather and Treats – Thankful Thursday

So we always pray and hope for rain and snow and today, we got both. It was raining all night and for most of the morning before it switched over to snow. It’ll likely warm back up to rain at some point because it’s really wet snow out there, but it’s all much needed water all the same.

So today I am grateful for weird Utah weather.

And the cookies we made today.

Love In A Scary World – Thankful Thursday

I finally found (was told) where my nephew’s laptop is. (Mine is still in need of repairs in order to run.) I was checking the news like I do to see what was up in the world and things are not looking good according to the articles up.

I woke up extra early today as well and have had a long and grueling day of running about and doing some much needed work on the farm while others were at work and school.

Mostly because one of our goats had (sort of) surprise babies in the wee hours of the morning and I needed to get out there and assist. Annie is the proud mother (for the third time) of a beautiful set of twins, one boy and one girl. I will post pictures of them as soon as I can figure out how on my nephew’s laptop because it’s been giving me issues with it.

For now, though the day has been long and the news makes me cringe, I am thankful that there are still moments of beauty like seeing a loving mother carefully watch over her sleeping newborns.

Peeled To See Me – Thankful Thursday

Today I am grateful for how easily distracted the goats are with orange peels when I’m trying to feed the pigs, because the goats will steal all the pigs’ feed if I let them. Also, the goats are the only ones who like orange peels out of all the animals. Even the chickens ignore them.

Caring -Thankful Thursday

I was surfing the internet on my niece’s tablet and I came across a post where a boy’s dog made sure he continued breathing through the night (because he slept differently.) I thought about my dog, Vincent. He doesn’t do anything like that with me.

But two nights ago he wouldn’t come in after going out and it was snowing too hard to leave him out all night. I was worried he’d force the garage open and worried about the rabbits. Finally I went out to see what he kept trying to take me to (because he was doing that luring thing that I do when I want him to follow me.)

The garage door had been left open on accident.

Vincent was worried about the rabbits too.

So I am grateful for my smart dog and how much he cares about the animals here.
