Mercy in Forgiveness – Twelfth Day

Today is a day never to be forgotten

Where love in the physical flesh was begotten

Emotions are high with joy and peace

Letting us know His love is as warm as fleece

Forgiveness given to all who will seek

To follow His way and keep themselves meek

How then shall we be forgiven too, if forgiveness to others isn’t something we do?

Dare to bestow mercy on all before you

And keep in mind

Yes, this is something to give too

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:

Mercy in Forgiveness as He gave to us

I Beg to Differ – Poetry Prompt 45

I’ve often heard
Said so much
That it’s not the ending
But the journey loved so much.

I’d like to disagree
A little bit
Because to me
It also matters in the end
Where you would like to see.

The journey is important
I won’t forget that,
But where you want
To end up
Is also as important
As that.

The climbing up the mountain
Matters in great import
If where you want
To end up
Is up upon the peak.

So remember while you’re climbing
That the journey there is good,
Keep in mind also
That where you end up is too.

And because I’ve heard that the journey is the most important part. While it is important what you use as a means to an end, the end you’re moving towards is just as important.

Farewell – Day Thirty

So another month has come and past
Only now I realize I thought it’d last.
Each moment is an eternity!
Little moments, one by one, have come
Or have they been here all along?
Now that things are at an end,
Great times we’ve had, my friend!

It’s been a wonderful ride, ladies and gentlemen! I hope y’all have enjoyed it as well as I have.

Too Late – Day Twenty-Four

The walls came down, down, down
All over town.
There were cries to stop, stop, stop
But no one ever would drop.

There was never an end,
Everyone was around the bend.
And though I would try my best,
In the end, I too went West.

For this country that once was mine
Now is only thine;
For we did not appreciate
What we had, until too late.
